From March 21 to 24, the Republic of Tatarstan will host the final of the “Start the Game” project of the presidential platform “Russia – the Land of Opportunities”. The Tver region in the All-Russian competition will be represented by Anna Kozlova, an evaluator of the Irbis company from the village of Kesova Gora, and a student of the Russian State Social University, Victoria Rovina from Tver. About 300 developers from 59 regions of Russia will participate in the competition final.
“High-tech production, which is associated with the development of society and the individual, is carried out by young and enterprising people who think in new ways. We understand the importance of supporting this direction of development,” Governor Igor Rudenya said.
Tverian Victoria Rovina was among the top contenders in the Programming category, and Anna Kozlova, a resident of Kesova Gora, became one of the finalists in the Game Design category.
“The project offers the opportunity to learn several IT professions, to penetrate and realize if it is yours, without any risk. In the competition, you make friends, try, travel and start realizing your dreams. For finalists in my field, I want to achieve what they aspire to. If you want to create your own game, gather a team and go for it. If you want to win the final, work on yourself, develop in your own areas, work hard and you will definitely succeed, ”said Anna Kozlova.
During 4 days, the finalists will have to solve the cases of the project partners and defend their developments with investors. Participants of the “Partner Case” direction will have to perform tasks by creating effective developments in the field of gamification and gaming technologies to solve business problems and socially important sectors of the economy. Game Projects Accelerator teams will need to finalize their games and present the finished projects to the professional community and investors.
The program of the final will also include a large plenary session to discuss the vector of personnel development in the game industry in Russia. Applicants will be able to meet game studio executives for a chat and get tips for getting ahead in the game industry.
The All-Russian competition “Start the Game” was supported by the supervisory board of the ANO “Russia – the land of opportunities” chaired by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The project is a large-scale platform for the development of skills and knowledge of young people in the development and management of game projects, as well as the implementation of young talents in the professions of the game industry.
