Game No. 1 of the best-of-three series will resume on Sunday.
The Vols and Golden Eagles are in a weather delay after game No. 1 was halted in the fifth inning on Saturday. Southern Miss leads the Vols, 4-0.
Game No. 1 will resume Sunday at noon EDT. Game No. 2 is slated for 3 pm EDT on Sunday.
The winner between Tennessee and Miss Southern in the best-of-three series will advance to the College World Series.
The Vols are making their third consecutive super regional and fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance under head coach Tony Vitello. Tennessee advanced to the 2021 College World Series.
