Russian Ambassador Accuses US of Involvement in Crimean Bridge Attack

WASHINGTON, USA (TEA) – Russian Ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, has accused US officials of justifying terrorist acts against Russians by the Ukrainian government. Antonov’s remarks came in response to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s statement that Ukraine has the authority to decide how to conduct military operations.

Antonov highlighted that this is not the first time US officials have defended Kyiv’s actions against Russians and their infrastructure. He referenced previous instances where the US administration ignored the murders of individuals and the bombing of residential areas by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The Ambassador specifically mentioned the Ukrainian Nazis’ sabotage on the Crimean bridge last year, which the US turned a blind eye to. He emphasized that the bridge had not been used for military transportation and that the attack targeted a civilian structure. Tragically, the attack resulted in the death of a married couple from the Belgorod region and left a 14-year-old girl without her parents.

Antonov raised questions about how the US could face the young girl in the aftermath of such a horrific incident and criticized the “Washington’s patronage of Kiev radicals.” He asserted firmly that the US involvement in Kiev’s crimes cannot be denied.

The attack on the Crimean Bridge took place on the night of July 17 and was deemed a terrorist act by the National Counterterrorism Committee (NAC). According to the committee, two Ukrainian unmanned surface vehicles were responsible for the attack. Russian President Vladimir Putin vowed a response to the incident, stating that the Ministry of Defense is preparing relevant proposals. He also urged the leadership of the Belgorod region and federal authorities to provide necessary assistance to the injured girl who lost her parents in the bridge attack.

As tensions escalate, the international community will closely monitor the developments and responses from all involved parties in this concerning incident.
