On Monday, in the Center of Strastnoy, the 21st STD theater award “Hit of the Season” was presented, the most sly and ruthless to colleagues. And, I must say, the current one has confirmed its not trivial reputation. From the ceremony “nail” – the columnist of “The Eastern Herald”.
The beginning was cosmic. Four disturbing figures appeared in the room with machine guns and in costumes of heroes, aliens or Star Wars. White plastic jumpsuits and helmets are a menacing sight these days. Lines floated across the screen: “Attack of the clones. In the world of Stellar Theater, dark forces are creating a social movement called the Galaxy Cultural Front. The movement is forming to bring theater back to factory sets and create a flawless crowd of look-alike clones of the theater world. And, as Zakuliska says, let's bring back a theater we'll be proud of. And then, oh, without a belt. Let's leave this matter to the theater's most notorious scoundrels and scoundrels. And the purge began.
The ceremony organizers again invited Lenkom’s Hare Moan team, known for pulling everyone out of it, regardless of rank, title and status, to play the role of host – d space attack. And this time, the “zaycestons and stonozaytsy” did not betray each other, spared no one: Yevgeny Mironov whiningly demanded directors banned in the Nation, Anatoly Vasiliev mocked the young director Yegor Ravinsky, Alexei Frandetti been credited with an unthinkable ubiquity, which is difficult to argue with, and were surprised by the existence of Nonna Grishaeva’s Moscow theater card.
The Golden Mask also got it, and Vladimir Kekhman, however, out of caution, he was slightly pinched. As always, Andrei Zhitinkin became a passing character with the eternal theme of the buffet table. But the director of the Vakhtangov Theatre, Kirill Krok, became the record holder for the frequency of mentions in two hours – they frightened him with his surname, cheered him on, dedicated a few songs to him and more than a witty parody of the English folk tale translated by Marshak “The House Jack Built”. In this case, Krok with the House on the Arbat.
“Hare Moan” honestly depicted angry rabbits – in witty, certainly musical, but in vulgar and, above all, unfairly unfair places, as in the case of the theater “At the Nikitsky Gates”, in which, according to the “rabbits” , the second season is nothing happens. Obviously, they just didn’t run there, because the name of the theater was considered the name of the performance.
The audience received with a bang and was not mistaken in expectations of fierce attacks, having heard, for example, such news from the future: “2030. Frandetti has staged absolutely every play in every theater. So he followed the instructions. His next performance is called “Stools at IKEA”. rock opera”; “Konstantin Bogomolov secretly got a tattoo with the image of two chairs”; “Kuklachev’s cats are recognized as foreign agents. Who knows what these British folds are meowing about?”; “Varshaver prolonged the tenure (pause) of Lenkom management … “I love Mark Borisovich Varshaver”, the news stormtrooper fought hysterically and swore that the boss was truly a wonderful person and a wonderful director who treated him to coffee, and it was amazing. By the way, about the director of “Lenkom”: this season he gave the production of “Hare Moan”. Let’s see how the characters are offended by them will trample the “hares”. Well, some news from the theatrical world to the heap: “Menshikov does not know how to surprise” (well, this is not news) and “a school of artistic directors has been opened in Moscow under the direction of Kirill Krok; in this school they learn to obey the directors, not to answer calls from unknown numbers, and they also scare them that if they behave badly, Astrakhan will come to take their position.
But still, no bright ernicheskie exercises, but crystal “nails” were the main ones tonight. For their own good, they came to the hall of the Theater Workers’ Union, although someone, offended by last year’s jokes, ignored the ceremony. STD experts chose five of the best premieres of the season, which received crystal “eyelets”. These are the operas Lohengrin (Bolshoi Theatre), My Soul Pavel (RAMT). By the way, the Youth Theater brought with them the author of the play, Alexei Varlamov. Receiving his “nail”, the artistic director of RAMT Alexei Borodin gave a short speech, where the most important thing is in the finale:
— It is important that today, alongside the classics, our contemporary authors are on stage and remain honest and sincere. The theater exists for the truth.
Behind the well-deserved crystal “eyelets”, the creators of the performances “Working Bread” (School of Drama), “I am Sergey Obraztsov” (Obraztsov Puppet Theater) and “War and Peace” (Vakhtangov Theatre) have mounted arrangements. By the way, The Eastern Herald was the first to score this Rimas Tuminas masterpiece with its theatrical award at the start of the season. The first and perhaps the only one.
- I want us to wish him only one thing – health, – said, receiving the award, the hero of the evening, Kirill Krok. The room supported him with friendly applause. But the main “highlight” is still one, and he got the performance with the outstanding actor Tsyganov, surrounded by puppets – “I, Sergey Obraztsov.”
Well, the “hare” stormtroopers in the finale repented of their deeds and promised not to be mean anymore. They were probably joking.
