Senior Supreme Court lawyer Kapil Sibal had also argued before the 2019 elections that if the Ayodhya case was decided before the general elections, the BJP would be benefited, so it is better if the decision is taken only after the elections. This is the reason why the decision could not come in November 2018 and when the general elections were held in May 2019, the historic decision could come seven months later, ie in November 2019.
