The star has established a history of seeking out valuables once owned by other high-profile celebrities, and some people are worried about what that means for the preservation of the artifacts themselves.

Last year, Kim received ample criticism for wearing Marilyn Monroe’s “Happy Birthday Mr. President” dress to the Met Gala, and in 2019, she faced pushback for purchasing Michael Jackson’s hat and jacket as a gift for her daughter North.
