A year after Nothing, a startup founded by Carl Pei, launched its first phone, the London-based company announced the launch of the Phone (2) “this British summer,” which lasts from June 21 to September 23.
If the previous Nothing Phone launch is any indicator, then the Nothing Phone (2) may be released sometime in July. The company unveiled its first handset on July 12.
Along with the announcement, Nothing also shared a teaser image of the upcoming phone, revealing a part of the rear panel. The teaser shows that the Phone (2) will have a transparent back again, but there’s a new element in it this time — a flashy red LED. The purpose of this new LED is unclear.

According to an earlier announcement, the Phone (2) will run on a Snapdragon 8 series processor and will be a more “premium” device. This is an improvement over the previous model, which had the Snapdragon 778G+ – an upper midrange processor. The higher-end positioning could mean a higher price as well.
Lastly, Nothing has confirmed that the Phone (2) will be sold in the US for the first time.
