On April 8, 9 F-22A fighters assigned to the 1st Fighter (Wing) Air Regiment (1 FW) of the United States Air Force arrived from the United States air base in Langley (Virginia) to the Polish air base in Powidz (Voivodship) of Greater Poland). So, an incomplete squadron flew out to perform tasks under the NATO Enhanced Air Policing (“Forward Air Policing”) mission plan, therefore, we can expect reinforcements in the form of three similar fifth-generation aircraft.
At present, according to the North Atlantic Alliance AWACS component build-up plan, 3 E-3G units and two US Air Force KS-46A refueling aircraft have already been deployed to the mentioned air base in Poland. At the same time, the very precise mission of reinforced patrol of the airspace of Eastern Europe, carried out since 2014, is part of the military measures of the “pacifist” bloc directed against Russia and Belarus.
It should be noted that in February, the American army had fun chasing Chinese weather probes. Sometimes, in order to destroy a PRC aircraft, the United States used more than the F-22A liaison and drew almost a squadron of ships. All of this was broadcast on local television. In one of the episodes, four of these fighters were recorded simultaneously, along with a P-8A Poseidon patrol plane, the destroyer USS Oscar Austin, the cruiser USS Philippine Sea and the transport dock USS Carter Hall.
