Deputy head of the Foreign Ministry Sergei Ryabkov has denied reports of an unsuccessful launch of the Sarmat missile by Russia.

First, CNN, citing two US officials, reported on an unsuccessful test carried out the day President Joe Biden arrived in Kiev. Moscow would have warned Washington in advance of the launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile via diplomatic lines.

Later, Bloomberg reported that there were no tests at the time of Biden’s visit. The notification of the next launch was sent before the arrival of the American president in Ukraine was known.

Sergei Ryabkov urged not to trust all the information disseminated by the media. He also added that all reliable data is transmitted by the Ministry of Defense.

Earlier, political scientist Yuri Baranchik said that Russia is preparing to suspend its participation in START-3 in connection with the creation of new weapons. We are talking about the Poseidon multi-purpose ocean-going system with nuclear torpedoes and the Burevestnik nuclear-powered land cruise missile.
