Yellowstone season five set to return in summer 2023… as Paramount Network releases teaser trailer

The second half of Yellowstone’s season five is set to return in summer 2023.

The midseason finale took place on Sunday, January 1, 2023 on Paramount Network.

A teaser trailer was released, featuring Yellowstone star Kevin Costner, who plays the patriarch John Dutton.

The news about the second half of season five was announced during the midseason finale, via People.

The thirty second teaser features Kevin’s character John as well as Cole Hauser, who plays Rip Wheeler.

The teaser also revealed Paramount Network will have behind the scenes looks at the upcoming episodes.

The season five premiere broke ratings records, with over 12 million viewers tuning in in November 2022, per the outlet.

Yellowstone also stars Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Taylor Sheridan and Jefferson White.

The show first premiered in June 2018.

Since then, it has garnered Emmy Award nominations, Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations and Golden Globe nominations.

The prequel 1923 featuring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren premiered in December.

1883, another prequel, starring Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, debuted December 2021.

A third spinoff, called 6666, is also at work; it was announced in February of 2021.
